200 miles!

I forgot to mention that I passed another milestone in my training. I started recording my miles on July 1st, and I just passed 200. Pretty cool to see it all add up like that.

I've also added some new blogs to my blogroll in the sidebar. A bunch of them are by folks running the Chicago Marathon on October 9th. I think it will be good inspiration to read about people finishing their training and then running their race.

I cumulatively track my miles, too, and when I reach a "milestone" (100, 200, whatever), I buy myself a little reward. Hey, it's incentive! Good luck.

Congratulations. I've just started using a spreadsheet to track mine, too. It's great motivation. I like the idea of Linda's rewards. Hmmm, I'll have to think about that one.

I love my Garmin as well. I actually upgraded from the 201 to the 301 because I grew tired of wearing both the Polar heartrate monitor and the Garmin. Not that I really care how dorky that looked.....but It is so much nicer.
